As of 2022, Dr. Arthur Corish has retired and has chosen Dr. Kirolos Fahmy take over his practice. We plan on keeping all the foundations, including patient records and reports, along with adding new specialties to the practice. These include the management and treatment of diseases like keratoconus, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration and same-day emergency services. We take pride in offering the latest technology along with excellent service and patient care. We are grateful to our patients for their word-of-mouth referrals, which have allowed us to grow through the years.
A message from Dr. Arthur B. Corish:
"To All My Patients and Friends,
It is with a bittersweet heart that I announce to you my retirement and transfer of my practice to Dr. Kirolos Fahmy.
Dr. Fahmy is a 2017 graduate of Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry. Since receiving his degree he has had experience seeing patients in optometry practices, ophthalmology surgery centers, and has been the clinical director for a major contact lens company, advising other doctors about their complex and difficult contact lens patients, as well as running clinical trials on new innovative lenses. He will bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and ideas that I know our patients will benefit from.
Dr. Fahmy is a native Californian, growing up in Ventura, CA, and attending the University of Southern California. He is settled here in Orange County with his wife Alex, a clinical pharmacist, practicing at Pomona Valley Medical Center.
And we have a new name! “Canyon Optometry” will be on the door outside the office and the name you will hear each time you call. The new name will streamline things in communications, and certainly make it easier on our staff every time they answer the phone!
Another benefit, very selfishly for me, is that bringing Dr. Fahmy into the practice will allow me to ease into retirement. I have been fortunate beyond my wildest dreams to be able to practice in a profession I have loved for over 40 years. To be able to enjoy what you do for a living is a blessing that I have never taken for granted, and I have you, my patients, to thank for that. Retirement is going to allow me to spend a bit more time enjoying the things outside of the office that I love, and explore new things I still wish to learn and experience.
I wish all of my patients, and my staff the very best."
